Let’s be real—Indian sun is savage. We step out for 10 mins and boom—tan, sunburn, dullness, and those tiny bumps no one asked for. That’s where our ride-or-die hero comes in: Sunscreen.
But wait, why even bother?
The sun throws invisible evil rays at us—UVA and UVB. These are the culprits behind wrinkles, premature aging, pigmentation, and even skin cancer. Here are my favorite sunscreen for summers.
Sunscreen = invisible armor. It:
Reflects or absorbs UV rays depending on the formula.
Protects your glow, fights dullness, and keeps your skin looking young.
Just don’t forget: Apply it generously, reapply every 3-4 hours (especially if you’re sweating or swimming), and always go for SPF 30+ & broad spectrum.
Now, here’s my no-filter list of budget-friendly + effective sunscreens that actually do their job:
1. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 50+

Lightweight, water-resistant, and has a dry, matte finish
Best for: Oily to combination skin (but normal skin types can use too)
leaves little white cast, Might feel a tad drying for super dry skin peeps
2. Adcross Derma Shield Sunscreen SPF 50

Matte gel texture, absorbs quickly, doesn’t clog pores
Best for: Acne-prone and oily skin
Fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, and super travel-friendly
Not very well known, but so underrated
3. Dr. Sheth’s Oat & Zinc Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50

Has calming ingredients like oat and zinc
Best for: Sensitive and dry skin
Soothing, non-irritating, and doesn’t sting your eyes
Might feel slightly heavy on oily skin, but works fab under makeup
Hybrid formula = both physical + chemical protection
Best for: All skin types, especially normal to dry
No white cast, dewy finish, works great under makeup
Slightly on the premium side, but worth it for the texture & finish
5. Conscious Chemist matte finish

Silky matte finish, invisible on the skin, and lightweight af
Best for: dry to combination skin
No white cast, super blendable, doesn’t pill under makeup, fragrance-free
If you love a dewy look, this one's more matte—so choose based on your vibe!
Pro Tip Time!
Oily skin? Go for gel-based, matte finish sunscreens
Dry skin? Look for hydrating or cream-based sunscreens
Sensitive skin? Use mineral sunscreens with zinc oxide
Dusky skin tone? Pick sunscreens with no white cast (thank me later)
So, don’t skip sunscreen. Even if you’re indoors—those UV rays will find you.
Now tell me Which sunscreen do you swear by—and which one flopped? Let’s help each other glow without burning!
